iNET
Interactive’s Editor-In-Chief will be responsible for creating,
aggregating, packaging and editing content; generating unique content
ideas; and increasing traffic to our growing network of community-based
web sites serving Web Professionals, in the fields of web hosting and
technology; web development and design; and web marketing and SEO/SEM.
This position reports to the Vice President of Products. iNET Interactive is located in West Chester, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
* Write, edit, package, and generate ideas for all forms of digital content (blogs, wikis, written, newsletters, video, photo galleries, etc.)
* Assist with the implementation of iNET Interactive’s content strategy
* Assist with building iNET Interactive’s online community
* Help build stable of star contributors
* Oversee production of micro-sites and special features
* Network iNET Interactive’s properties with other online editors and bloggers
* Develop up creative ways to create awareness for and drive traffic to iNET Interactive’s content and grow community
* Be entrepreneurial, enthusiastically wear numerous hats and help grow young company
* Proactively learn about new online tools, technologies, interesting writers, etc.
* Assume a leadership role within the company
* Work with marketing and SEO specialists and optimize content for search
* Work strategically with management to develop unique, compelling content and grow our network
The ideal candidate has:
* 5+ years web editorial experience
* Bachelors Degree with demonstrated experience working in online journalism or communications
* Inexhaustible ideas to engage and build iNET Interactive’s audience
* A network of editorial contributors in the tech industry
* A passion for the audience iNET Interactive serves, primarily web professionals (web hosting, web development and web marketing)
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Successfully managed interactive and community elements
* A comfort level with the technology and tools required to grow a successful content and community site
* The ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
* Experience with social networking/book marking and is an active part of online communities (bloggers, social networking, etc.)
* Basic knowledge of HTML, CMS, and community platforms
* Bonus: worked extensively on e-newsletters
